Role: Technical PM/Scrum Master

Location: Halifax, CA (Remote)

Type: Contract

Looking for a strong technical PM/scrum master who is meticulous and would be successful in coordinating multiple developers (for projects) and IT teams (for BAU).

Day to Day job Duties: (what this person will do on a daily/weekly basis)

• Helping software development teams apply the Scrum framework
• Planning deliverables and helping teams monitor performance
• Resolving issues that hinder the teams' work
• Manage each project's scope and timeline
• Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups
• Coach team members in Agile frameworks
• Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration
• Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g. from customers or stakeholders)
• Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests
• Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur
• Help teams implement changes effectively

Basic Qualifications: (what are the skills required to this job with minimum years of experience on each)

• Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• 5 plus years of hands on Experience as a Scrum Maser/Technical PM
• Experience with performing the role of scrum master for agile implementation
• Experience with performing the role of technical PM for waterfall projects
• Experience with risk management and issue resolution for technical projects
• Knowledge of tools JIRA/Confluence is a plus.
• Should be able to quickly get up to speed on Wyndham matrixed team structure and processes.
• Expected to pick up minimum Wyndham domain knowledge quickly to successfully execute the role of scrum master/technical PM.
• Expertise in multi-tasking and managing multiple responsibilities

Time zone: Should be able to work with maximum overlap with Eastern time zone (8-4pm or 9-5pm Eastern)

Location: Americas (north, south) or offshore if able to work in EST.

Travel: No Travel. To support EST business hours

Degree: Bachelor's in computer science or related field

Nice to Have: Project lead experience (But not a must)
