Job Title: Sous Chef (Banquets)

Location: Chicago IL

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all food aspects of banquets and private events ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
• Collaborate with the Events Coordinator to plan and execute all banquet menus and food service for events.
• Manage kitchen staff during events ensuring timely and efficient food preparation and service.
• Handle the preparation cooking and presentation of food for banquets maintaining consistency and meeting client expectations.
• Work closely with clients to understand their event needs and tailor the food service accordingly.
• Ensure the kitchen is properly stocked organized and maintained during events.
• Manage kitchen operations during events ensuring the timely execution of the event schedule.
• Assist with training kitchen staff on banquet preparation cooking techniques and maintaining a high level of kitchen performance.

Qualifications:

• Strong background in kitchen operations including prior experience in banquet or event catering.
• Knowledge and expertise in time management within an eventdriven kitchen environment.
• Ability to understand client needs and deliver tailored food experiences for private events.
• Prior experience working in a highvolume fastpaced kitchen.
• Ability to manage and direct a team of kitchen staff during events.
• A positive attitude and willingness to work in a teamfocused environment.

Compensation:

• This is a salaried position for the Sous Chef role in charge of banquets and private events.
