MechE is seeking a Research Associate to join the team. This role will work to support the ARPA-H project (Bio-Insync) within the Ozdoganlar lab. Responsibilities will include conducting and supporting all types of Wet-lab/cell-based in vitro experiments, in-vivo animal experiments, and other benchtop experiments. In addition, the position will write, and support writing reports related to these aspects, as well as experimental protocols, and other functions as directed by the supervisor, Prof. Ozdoganlar.

Core Responsibilities:

  • May program software in support of job functions.
  • Maintains administrative records. Tracks and adheres to established budgets.
  • Writes and edits recommendations and reports.
  • Collects, verifies, and manages data. Performs data analysis in order to produce reports. Documents and processes results. Develops quantitative models.
  • Contributes to overall project planning and acts as lead to coordinate portions of a large project or study. Ensures project deadlines are met.
  • With some supervision, designs experiments and research protocols.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in biomedical engineering, biology, or closely related field.
  • Previous experience working on cellular analyses in vitro experiments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, reasoning, and communication skills.
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
