Purchasing Manager , you will be responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and procurement operations, ensuring the supply chain remains resilient and efficient. You\'ll collaborate with cross-functional teams supporting rapid product development, balance cost and quality, and drive continuous improvement in procurement.
Key Responsibilities: - Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provide training and professional development for the team.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback.
- Collaborate with IT to enhance ERP system functionality.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Forecast purchasing needs using sales and market data.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality.
- Prepare monthly purchasing reports and monitor inventory turnover and cost savings.
- Lead and manage purchasing audits.
- Select vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
- Maintain supplier relationships to foster trust and reliability.
- Manage vendor scoring and categorization data.
- Track and resolve discrepant material issues.
- Provide leadership and growth opportunities for the team.
- Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment; proactively address quality issues.
- Create and submit purchase orders to maintain inventory.
- Reconcile credit card charges in Ramp.
- Review sales orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Respond to urgent purchasing requests.
- Process complex RFQs and award contracts to vendors.
- Provide company documentation for vendor credit accounts and non-taxability.
- Update NetSuite item and vendor records and manage documentation on Google Drive and Jira.
- Collaborate with Finance to process payments and resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Maintain cost-effective and reliable procurement practices.
- Lead a dynamic purchasing team.
Requirements: Qualifications and Experience: - Bachelor\'s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A master\'s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPP, CIPS) is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of procurement best practices, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
- Experience analyzing market trends and supplier performance.
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts and pricing for cost savings without compromising quality.
- Experience with procurement and ERP systems (NetSuite), and strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
- Knowledge of procurement regulations and risk mitigation.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Ability to resolve supply chain disruptions and vendor issues.
- Experience managing procurement budgets and optimizing purchasing decisions.
