Mid-size California MSP seeks COO/General Manager to help achieve the next level of growth
As GM/COO you will be empowered and expected to work alongside the CEO and drive revenue, profitability, and sales growth goals through engineering dominance, operational excellence, and immaculate leadership practices. You’ll dig-in as a motivational leader and elevate all staff to A-player standards, managing the team through this positive transition, and ensuring the current culture of excellence and career satisfaction persists through this evolution towards a faster, more responsive, and more profitable company.

Mandatory Requirements
Management:
- Proven track record of managing 20+ people
- Leadership experience (CEO, COO/GM, VP) of an MSP with one or more M&A transactions
- Knowledge and experience implementing and using cutting edge, metrics-based management systems (Primarily ScalePad)
- History of success leading one or more organizations through near term change, long term evolution, and rapid revenue growth
- Free the CEO of unnecessary operational time requirements – remove all obstacles
Technical:
- Manage any person, any engineer at any level in any IT discipline, according to CA law
- Ability to go onsite to a client’s location to solve technical problems (as a last line of defense)
- Be able to effectively and efficiently manage outsourced technical partners at any level and in any category of IT
- ConnectWise, ScalePad/BrightGauge, EOS (Strety/Ninety), Microsoft365/Azure/Intune, Datto, Sophos, networking, on prem compute
- Analyze tickets and timecards individually and company-wide to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and maximum profitability
Compensation: Base salary commensurate with skills, track record, and experience plus significant additional compensation awarded for achievement of growth goals, liquidity event, or acquisition.
Location: Coastal California - Orange County CA through San Luis Obispo County CA, must be in region, relocation assistance considered.
