Spur, a digital staffing agency, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support Marshall County Schools. This role requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced educational environment.

Position Overview

As an Administrative Assistant , you will provide essential clerical and office support to ensure smooth daily operations within the school. This includes maintaining records, assisting staff, and helping create a safe and structured environment for students and faculty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform secretarial duties such as transcription, answering phones, and managing files.
  • Operate office equipment, including computers, copiers, and other devices.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding student and school information.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Be available to work on an on-call basis as needed.
  • Assist with various school-related administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) and other computer applications.
  • Lift and move objects weighing up to 40 lbs as needed.
  • Prior experience working with children is preferred.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must pass a State of Alabama Background Check ($48.00 fee).
  • Ability to work effectively in a school environment while adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation & Schedule

  • Pay Rate: $15.16 per hour
  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (varies by location)
  • Work Period: Follows the school calendar when classes are in session
