Job Description

To perform miscellaneous shop functions utilizing non-specialized equipment, tasks may include: laser unload, grinding, paper peeling, etc at Argon Industries.

Position Responsibilities

Shop Specific:

• Understand that every employee at Argon Industries has the right and the obligation to stop production and contact a supervisor immediately if they deem it to be unsafe and if they have any quality concerns.
• Identify appropriate materials for the job, including the ability to check the type, size, quantity, quality and maintain traceability.
• Ability to read and follow the Job Traveler and supervisor instructions.
• Understand and adhere to Argon’s Employee Quality Policy & Requirements
• Understand and adhere to Argon’s Safety policies.
• Complete jobs to customer specifications in a timely manner
• Watch and anticipate potential problems.
• Correctly count and tag parts and document work performed on the traveler.
• Maintain an orderly and clean work area at all times.

Job Specific:

• Learn and follow all procedures associated with the laser unload department

• Learn and follow all applicable work instructions.

• Assist in maintaining the department’s production schedule.

• Properly maintain and record documentation; Job #’s, Part #’s, Counts, Operations, etc

• Properly handle material; Stainless, Aluminum, Cold & Hot Roll, Galvanized, etc

• Properly use hand tools, grinders, palm and belt sanders, etc

• Other duties at management discretion.

• Must have enthusiasm, high energy, be self-motivated and ability to set the pace .

• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must have high character, enthusiasm and desire to meet or exceed the customers’ requirements.

• Must be able to move quickly and with purpose through a task.

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis.

• Must be able to stand for an extended period of time.

• Must complete a 90-day probationary period.

• Must have safety shoes and safety glasses.
